china question

Have any of you ever experienced that a china cymbal loses its shape?

I have an Oriental 18" that I rarely use, and when I was going to use it today for the first time this year, I noticed it had partly lost its shape! It's really strange, because I'm not a violent player at all...

Strange you mention that!
Ive Just been cleaning my cymbals today and i noticed my 12" Oriental Zildjian ever so slightly (due to its small size) kinda twisted if that makes sense.
Im also not a hard hitter (i use k thins as my main crashes, but do kinda lay into the oriental to get that bite)

It's a Zildjian Oriental China Trash 18". Pretty thin.
